Food for Thought is an illustration-led project designed for schools, with the aim of making food feel fun and friendly. The work invites students to engage with cooking and healthy eating through colour, humour, and hand-crafted imagery. The main aim is to encourage confidence and curiosity around cooking!

The Idea

The design focuses on food in its simplest form: ingredients. By breaking meals down into their building blocks, cooking feels more accessible and less intimidating.

Style

The illustrations are intentionally naive and playful, celebrating the odd shapes and silhouettes of different foods. Everything is drawn by hand, giving the project warmth and personality. The style is simple, colourful, and imperfect: designed to feel approachable and engaging within a school environment.

Application

The artwork has been used across large-scale formats including wall graphics, banners, posters, wallboards, and café barriers.

Bon appétit!
