Girls Just Want To Train Dogs is a podcast created for women who live, love, and breathe dog training. From pet owners to sport competitors to business owners, this is a space where girls in the dog world connect, share, and support one another. It’s a place for honest conversations, real challenges, and plenty of laughs!
Introducing your hosts…
One of the biggest challenges with this project was to introduced the hosts and their dogs. We didn’t just want portraits - we wanted movement, personality, and something people in the dog world would recognise straight away.
We landed on the idea of showing all three hosts heeling their dogs. It gave the illustration a clear sense of motion, kept the visual hierarchy consistent, and created a strong connection to the kind of training the podcast talks about.
Bold Type & Illustrations
From the start, I knew the logo needed a bold typographic element that could stand on its own. That way, it would stay strong and recognisable even at smaller sizes, like podcast apps or social media profiles. By separating the type from the illustration, the logo stays clean, punchy and flexible across different formats.
Alongside the logo, I created a suite of illustrations featuring the hosts and their dogs. These give the brand loads of personality and can be used when the logo isn’t needed, while still keeping everything visually consistent. It gives the team more freedom in how they show up, without ever stepping away from the brand.
